The Benefits of Virtual Reality in the Care of Elderly People With Psychomotor Disadaptation Syndrome
Psychomotor Disadaptation Syndrome

Psychomotor Disadaptation Syndrome (PMDS) is characterised by a deterioration in postural function, gait and psychomotor automatisms in the elderly. It is often associated with falls and can manifest itself as retropulsion, gait abnormalities, neurological disorders and psycho-behavioural problems. For the majority of these patients, a stay in a geriatric medical and rehabilitation centre is necessary, enabling an objective assessment of these disorders and multi-professional care, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and adapted physical activity teachers, aimed at restoring safe movement and motor independence. However, rehabilitation relies on traditional exercises that are limited, repetitive and sometimes far removed from everyday activities. Technological innovations such as virtual reality (VR) offer opportunities to improve care by creating immersive environments that reproduce real-life situations. VR could thus help to rehabilitate the motor problems associated with MS. The aim of the VIR-AGE project is to study the clinical benefits of VR in the rehabilitation of hospitalised elderly people suffering from PMDS in terms of functional deficits, particularly motor deficits. The study will take place at the Centre gériatrique Champmaillot of the CHU Dijon Bourgogne. A total of 50 patients with SPDM will take part. The total duration of your participation is 5 weeks.

A Clinical Study of Calderasib (MK-1084) With Targeted Therapy and Chemotherapy in People With Colorectal Cancer (MK-1084-012/KANDLELIT-012)

Researchers are looking for other ways to treat locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) that is unresectable and has a gene mutation called KRAS G12C. Standard (or usual) treatments for this type of colorectal cancer may include mFOLFOX6 with or without bevacizumab. Researchers want to learn if adding calderasib (the study medicine) and cetuximab to mFOLFOX6 can treat locally advanced or mCRC with the KRAS G12C mutation. Calderasib and cetuximab are targeted therapies. The goals of this study are to learn: * About the safety of calderasib with cetuximab and mFOLFOX6 and if people tolerate the treatments * If people who receive calderasib with cetuximab and mFOLFOX6 live longer without mCRC growing or spreading compared to people who receive mFOLFOX6 with or without bevacizumab.

A Phase 2 Study of JNT-517 in Adolescent Participants With Phenylketonuria
Phenylketonuria (PKU)

The goal of this Phase 2, randomized study is to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of oral JNT-517 in adolescents (12 to less than 18 years of age) with PKU. Participants will receive either JNT-517 or placebo and will be blinded to their treatment assignment. Participants will have a 4 in 5 (or 80%) chance of receiving JNT-517. The study will last for up to 63 days including a Screening period, Treatment period and Follow-up period for safety. Participants will: * Take 75 mg JNT-517 or a placebo BID (2x per day) for 28 days * Visit the clinic or have a mobile health nurse visit your home for checkups and tests * Collect urine sample at home and bring to clinic on specified days * Keep a food diary 3 days before each study visit

A Study of Mezagitamab in Adults With Primary IgA Nephropathy Kidney Condition

Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is a kidney condition. It happens when the body's immune system creates groups of proteins (called immune complexes) that build-up in the kidneys causing swelling (inflammation). Over time, this inflammation may lead to kidney damage and cause the kidneys to no longer work properly. The main aim of this study is to check how well mezagitamab changes protein levels in the urine (proteinuria) compared to placebo in adults with primary IgAN. A placebo looks like medicine but doesn't have any active ingredients in it. Other aims are to check how safe mezagitamab is and how well participants with primary IgAN can tolerate it compared to placebo, and to find out if and how well mezagitamab continues to maintain kidney function over the long term compared to placebo. Participants will be placed in 1 of the 2 treatment groups; the main group and the open-label group. In the main group, participants will be placed in 1 of the 2 treatment groups by chance (either mezagitamab or placebo) at a 2:1 ratio. This means that out of 3 participants, 2 will receive mezagitamab and 1 will receive placebo. The participants will receive either mezagitamab or placebo for almost half a year in two 1-year cycles. They will be observed for another half year in each 1-year cycle and will have check-ups about every month during this time. In the open-label group, a small number of participants who have lower levels of protein in their urine or have kidneys that do not filter the blood well, will receive mezagitamab treatment. This will include participants who have previously received mezagitamab in another study, TAK-079-1006. Every participant will receive mezagitamab in the same way as those in the main group receiving mezagitamab. During the study, participants will visit their study clinic several times.

CAR-T Immunotherapy Targeting CD19- ALL

This study will evaluate safety and efficacy of a combination of 4th generation chimeric antigen receptor gene-modified T cells targeting CD19 negative ALL that express CD22, CD123, CD38, CD10, CD20 and TSLPR, as many patients developed CD19-negative disease after CD19 CART immunotherapy. Clinical response and development of a standardized lentiviral vector and cell production protocol will be investigated. This is a phase I/II trial enrolling patients from multiple clinical centers.

Evaluation of Tenting the Schneiderian Membrane of the Maxillary Sinus Using Titanium Mesh.
Maxillary Sinus Floor Augmentation

Twenty posterior maxillary edentulous sites requiring open sinus augmentation for staged dental implant placement will be studied. Group I (study group) the maxillary sinus membrane will be elevated using titanium mesh fixed by bone screws. Group II (control group) will have stainless steel screws/pins placed bucco-palatally to maintain the elevated membrane and stabilize the formed blood clot. Platelet rich fibrin (PRF) will be placed at the site of elevated membrane in both groups.

Leflunomide in Combination With Decitabine for Treatment of Relapsed or Refractory Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Myelodysplastic Syndromes

The goal of this interventional clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of leflunomide in combination with decitabine as treatment for patients with relapsed or refractory myelodysplastic syndromes (R/R MDS). The main question this study aims to answer are to evaluate and estimate the maximum tolerated doses and/or biologically active doses of the combination of leflunomide-decitabine in participants. Decitabine will be administered at a dose of 20 mg/m2 by continuous intravenous infusion over one hour repeated daily for 5 days with repeating cycle every 4 weeks. Leflunomide is administered orally at 10 to 20 mg once daily (without a loading dose) for 14 to 21 days, as part of a 28-day treatment cycle in adult subjects with R/R MDS. After 12 cycles (study duration) responding patients can continue progression with the assigned doses.

Bronchoscopic RElease of Air Trapped in Hyperinflated Emphysematous Lung - Study 3

The objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of Apreo BREATHE system when used to support native airways and release trapped air in the treatment of adult COPD patients with emphysema suffering from dyspnea due to hyperinflation despite optimal medical treatment. Bronchoscopic Microwave Ablation of Lung Tissue in Surgical Candidates - UK
Lung Cancer

This study involves the use of a medical device, the Creo Medical MicroBlate Flex instrument, to heat and destroy lung tumour cells using microwave energy (this is also called ablation). In this study, the investigators are investigating whether the ablation instrument can be used effectively to treat lung tumours or tumours that have spread to the lungs. If successful, using this technology may mean future patients may not need to undergo surgical removal of these types of lung tumours. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and performance of the MicroBlate Flex instrument in treating individuals with cancerous lung tumours that are due to be removed by surgery. All participants in the study will undergo the microwave ablation procedure, which is a separate and additional procedure to their surgical procedure. The study, funded by Creo Medical, will be conducted at sites in the UK and Italy, and will involve up to 18 participants.

Evaluation of a Diagnostic Software for Coronary Artery Disease Using Retrospective CCTA Data (CODEX-1 Study)

The CODEX-1 study is a multicenter retrospective observational study designed to assess the diagnostic performance of a novel software application for coronary artery disease (CAD) evaluation. The application integrates automated stenosis detection, CT-derived fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR), and plaque quantification, all performed on-site. A total of 1,000 patients who previously underwent coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and diagnostic invasive coronary angiography (ICA) and/or other non-invasive imaging will be included. The study compares the diagnostic outputs of the software to current clinical practice and expert adjudication, focusing on CAD-RADS categorization, prediction of the need for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and reduction in unnecessary ICA procedures.

ERAS Protocols in Breast Conserving Surgery
Breast Cancer Postoperative Recovery

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols have been of increasing interest in the surgical community for decades. The emphasis has been development of protocols to maximize pain control post-operatively without the use of opioids. While this approach has been studied extensively in the oncology surgery literature, little data exists on the utility of ERAS protocols in the setting of breast conserving surgery (BCS), which is a type of surgery to remove breast cancer while saving as much of the breast as possible. The purpose of this study is to determine the utility of implementing ERAS protocols in breast cancer patients undergoing breast conserving surgery. Study participants will be randomized to either ERAS protocol or standard peri-operative care without ERAS. The study will assess the how many opioid prescriptions are given in the first week after surgery and how much pain participants report right after surgery. Investigators will also look at how long participants stay in the recovery room and if medicine for nausea is needed.
